Who we are
ProfessionalMeet is operated by nexalign GmbH, Stresemannstraße 23, 10963 Berlin, Germany (see the imprint). For anything related to your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
Account and profile data. Name, email address, job title, company, industry, and optionally location, phone number, LinkedIn URL, a short bio and what you are looking for. You provide this data yourself when signing up, during onboarding or in your dashboard.
Event activity. Seat requests including your message to the host, sponsorship applications, and events you list as a host.
Technical data. One essential session cookie (pm_session) that keeps you logged in. We run no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts; our emails contain no tracking pixels.
What we use it for
We use your data to run the platform: authenticating you by email code, letting hosts review seat requests, showing anonymized attendee lists, processing sponsorship applications, and sending transactional emails about your account and your requests (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract). We send no marketing emails.
Who sees your data
Other attendees never see your name, company or contact details. Attendee lists are incognito by design: they show role, industry, seniority and location only.
Event hosts see your full seat request (name, role, company, contact details and your message) so they can vet who joins their room.
Platform administrators see account and request data to moderate events and keep the platform curated.
Processors we rely on
We host on Railway (Railway Corp., database and application servers) and send email through Resend (Resend, Inc.). Both act as processors under data processing agreements; data may be processed in the European Union and the United States under EU standard contractual clauses. DNS and network services are provided by Cloudflare.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays until you delete your account or ask us to remove it. Login codes expire after 15 minutes and are deleted when used. Sessions expire after 30 days. Seat requests and applications are kept while the related event exists so hosts and you can refer back to them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Email [email protected] and we will handle it. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; for Berlin that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
